THANK YOU MANCHESTER, ABERDEEN AND CORNWALL

PRIDE OF MANCHESTER AWARDS

Last Wednesday 8th May I was honoured to open the Pride Of Britain Pride Of Manchester Awards at the Principal Hotel in Manchester with Melanie Williams. We performed two tracks from The Haçienda Classical show before the awards were presented. It was great evening with some very special people from all walks of life, young and old, receiving awards for bravery, community spirit, recovering from serious illness and more. The awards were hosted by Kim Marsh and it was a privilege to be involved.

MY PITTODRIE PLAYLIST

You may be aware that I am a massive Aberdeen football fan, so you can imagine how excited I was to be asked by the club to supply last Friday’s pre-match Pittodrie Playlist while the teams warmed up. It was Aberdeen’s final home game of the season as well as captain Graeme Shinnie’s final home game before he heads to Derby next season. I came up with an eclectic and positive selection of tunes to fire up both the team and the crowd as we push for a European place. We beat Hearts 2-1 and I’d like to think my tune selection helped. Feedback from “the Sheep” has been very positive. Make up you own mind by listening to the mix I created after the game. Oh, and for those that know, Stand Free!

HYPNOSIS NEWQUAY

On Saturday 11th May I was in Newquay Cornwall for Hypnosis where I played alongside Marshall Jefferson. The venue was Tall Trees, which was the scene of many great Hypnosis nights in the 90s, and it was great to play there again with Pav on percussion and Matt Hines on sax. The night went so well that I’m hoping to return later this year.
