Last Saturday saw me head to Chelmsford City Racecourse in Essex for the first ever Clockwork Orange Clockstock Festival. The sun was shining and the vibe was massive as a real variety of Clockwork Orange regulars as well as younger clubbers gathered to celebrate an eclectic selection of dance music from the past four decades right up to the present day. DJs included Joey Negro, Norman Jay, Erick Morillo, Tony Humphries, Todd Terry, DJ Sneak, Alex P, Jeremy Healy, Smokin’ Joe, Tall Paul Seb Fontaine and more.
I played in the Disco Shmisko Arena to a great crowd. I was sandwiched in between Joey Negro and Norman Jay MBE and the place was buzzing when I took to the decks. No pressure then! Thankfully everyone continued to groove after Joey Negro’s fabulous set and the place was jumping when I handed over to Norman Jay.
I had an absolute ball and it was great catching up with lots of my fellow DJs and clubbing friends too. I really hope this becomes and annual event. You can listen to my DJ set via the link below, where you’ll also find my set list too. My next Clockwork Orange gig is Ibiza on the 21st July.
